REPORTS TO: Executive Director   
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Non-Exempt, Hourly

Responsible for assisting the Community Program with Influenza Clinic billing and the Home Care program with billing and medical record duties as assigned.

High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of two years office experience.  Ability to use common office equipment, i.e., computer, copier, FAX machine, multi-line phone system, scanner, etc.  Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and physical strength to perform duties as noted below.  Car, driver's license and adequate insurance as outlined in the personnel policies.  Required is a physical examination completed at the time of employment with a physician’s statement of the employee’s ability to perform the duties of the job. Employment is contingent upon the result of a criminal background check conducted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, as required by law, prior to offer being extended and a negative finding on the Office of Inspector General’s Excluded Provider List.

The employee will demonstrate strong organizational skills necessary to manage multiple tasks  effectively and efficiently, and to follow through with minimal supervision.  The employee will demonstrate the ability to communicate and work cooperatively with coworkers.  The employee will demonstrate the ability to read and communicate clearly and effectively in the English language, both orally and in writing.  The employee will possess a working knowledge of common office equipment, ability to use computer effectively, and the ability to enter data with minimal errors.

The majority of this employee’s job activities will be performed in the main office area, storage area and reception area.  The ambient noise level in this environment is generally low to moderate.

Must have the ability to lift 35 lbs 2 times in a row from floor to counter. (boxes, supplies, files, etc.).  The duties of the job require the ability to sit for long periods at a desk, walking, lifting (including over-head lifting), reaching, stooping, climbing ladder and stairs, driving, etc., with or without the use of assistive/adaptive devices.

Works closely with clinical staff, Clinical Services Manager, Community Program Coordinator, Quality Manager, Reimbursement Department, office support staff, physicians and physician’s office staff.

1. Assists the Billing and Reimbursement department with projects as assigned.
2. Assists with the Influenza Clinic billing and support as assigned.
3. Assist with Medical Record review projects, as assigned.
4. Provides back up office support for vacation/benefit coverage in Medical Record Room, Intake, Billing/Reimbursement and Reception.
5. Enter Influenza Clinic statistics in excel tracking worksheet.
6. Assist with data entry and billing.
7. Assist with Influenza Clinic supply inventory as requested
8. Follows agency policies and procedures.
9. Performs other duties as may be requested.
