Influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes, even death. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that all individuals aged 6 months and older get a flu vaccine each year.
This year, as we face the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is even more important to get vaccinated from the flu. Public health leaders are urging everyone to get the flu vaccine to both protect ourselves and prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed with sick patients.
The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) flu clinics help ensure that our community is protected from the flu. The VNA provides community immunization clinics each fall. When you get your flu shot through the VNA, revenue from the program is invested back into the local community to provide home care.
If you are still in need of a flu shot, please contact our office to set up an appointment. Please call 319-337-9686 X1155
